On November 14, 2011, three entrepreneurs from Charlotte, NC launched Gunway. Their goal was to create a product for the gun community, a place for young and old, male and female, enthusiast and the simply curious.

“We created a place where people can share their firearms and outdoor world with others,” said co-founder Charlie Pratt. “We see Gunway as a place that connects everyone from the manufacturer to the local gun shop to the consumer that wants to introduce their family and friends to shooting. We are thrilled to have shooting pioneers like Colt Firearms, Magpul Industries, and FNH USA, as well as shooting celebrities like Julie Golob creating accounts and promoting shooting tips, safety, and new products.”

Gunway set numerous milestones in the inaugural year. With over 5,000 members, almost 7,000 shots to its Stream, hundreds of questions and answers, averaging over 100,000 page views a month, Gunway’s value is on the rise.

“We’re excited about the milestones we have achieved in our first year, but we’re thrilled about the partnerships we’ve had the opportunity to create as well,” said co-founder Colin Cumberworth. “Our first promotional giveaway brought us together with Keystone Armory, Armory Racks, and LaserMax. Promoting great companies and fantastic products was a milestone in itself.”

What are Gunway’s goals for 2013? Making the user experience better. New features are coming, and the sky is the limit for year two.
