U.S. Ice Team Puts Their Best Foot Forward with Kahtoola

Kahtoola, a leading innovator in outdoor footwear, proudly announces their continued support of the United States Ice Team in the 2013 World Ice Fishing Championship. Since 2010, Kahtoola has equipped and supported the group of ice anglers through challenging conditions and intense competitions throughout the world.

The grueling, two-day competition takes place on Big Eau Pleine Reservoir outside of Wausau, Wisconsin. There, over a dozen international teams will take to the ice-covered reservoir in attempts to take home this year’s gold medal. But the U.S. team has an advantage beyond competing on home ice. They’ll have firm footing with Kahtoola’s award-winning traction system – the MICROspikes.

Designed to be versatile, lightweight and rugged, MICROspikes footwear traction has been an ideal fit for anglers around the country. Made with flexible elastomer and a built in toe bar, MICROspikes footwear traction provide a strong, reliable grip no matter the surface. They will continue to be the gear of choice for the 2013 competition.

“It’s an honor to support the U.S. team in the World Ice Fishing Championship,” said Danny Giovale, founder of Kahtoola. “It’s an exciting event that generates profound awareness and enthusiasm for the sport. We are proud that the U.S. team has trusted us on their feet for the past two years and counting.”
