Santa is taking some time off to go fishin’ at the Go Fish Education Center on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 2 to 5 p.m. Bring the family out for an afternoon of fishing and refreshments with Santa! RSVP by Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. by calling 478-988-8000.
Fishing with Santa isn’t the only holiday fishing treat for Go Fish visitors, as trout from the center’s hatchery will be stocked in the on-site fishing pond on Dec. 6. Additional species available include hybrid bass, catfish and bluegill. The Go Fish Education Center will provide rods, tackle and bait, and all fishing is catch and release.
Join Go Fish this Friday, Dec. 7, and the first Friday of every month, from 10 a.m. to noon for the Mom and Tot’s program Camp Little Minnow.
Designed for pre-schoolers, activities include crafts, live animal demonstrations and story time.
Go Fish is open special holiday hours on Dec. 26 and 27 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Regular admission applies to all special events. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors 65 and older, $3 for children and FREE for ages 2 and under. Anglers 16 or older will need a fishing license, which is available to purchase online at www.georgiawildlife.com/licenses-permits-passes, by phone at 1.800.266.3661 or on site if needed.
