Reward Fund Established in Montana Cow Moose Poaching Case

Upset Montanans have pledged $1,300 to a reward fund to help solve the October case of a cow moose shot in the Little Belt Mountains south of Great Falls. The moose was shot and left while her two calves stood nearby.

The private fund is in addition to rewards available through Fish, Wildlife and Parks TIPMONT program.

Meanwhile FWP state game wardens continue to seek information on the case which took place in the early morning of Oct. 25 on private property along Belt Park Road, near Harley Park.

Two young of the year calves were found standing by the poached moose.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call 1-800-TIPMONT. Rewards are available through the TIPMONT program and informants are kept confidential.
