New Bear Grylls Adventure Show Seeking Contestants for Reality TV Competition
OutdoorHub Reporters 12.04.12
NBC and Bear Grylls are looking for teams of two contestants to participate in a new adventure competition series hosted by the former Man vs. Wild star with an iron stomach.
“We’re going throughout the country looking for teams of two people; people who are up for the challenge, people who are outgoing, whether you’re family members, whether you’re co-workers, whether you’re buddies. We’re looking for people who already have a connection and people who are willing to give it their all for what is definitely going to be the ultimate reality survival competition,” Bear Grylls said about the new show that will air on NBC.
Teams will be dropped into a remote wilderness location to compete against other teams. The reality show will test contestants’ leadership, determination, teamwork, survival skills, and knowing Bear Grylls, likely whether you can stomach things like fresh bat blood.
Applicants must be 21 years or older by February 1, 2013 and be a legal U.S. resident with a valid U.S. passport. Filming takes place for about four weeks between March 2013 and April 2013 (dates subject to change). A cash reward is offered at the end. Balls of steel not necessary, but recommended.
