U.S. Government Approves Remington 2013 Small Business Subcontracting Plan

Remington Arms Company, LLC, (“Remington”) announced that on December 3, 2012 the U.S. Government approved its 2013 Small Business Subcontracting Plan, which outlines how Remington will leverage small businesses, such as “service-disabled veteran owned” and “women-owned,” in the process of manufacturing firearms.

The growth of Remington’s Defense Division, coupled with strong domestic and international commercial sales, has opened the door to relationships between the firearms industry leader and small businesses.

Remington’s Director of Contracts and Pricing Joe Bolmarcich said, “Remington’s plan provides over $238 million of subcontracting opportunities for small businesses. We are excited to work with small businesses to provide quality, affordable products to federal, military and law enforcement agencies.”

Remington’s plan will support economic growth, job creation and production expertise in the small business community.

Bolmarcich added, “In preparing this plan, Remington has aligned itself with the socio-economic goals of the Federal Government. We are proud to share these opportunities with small businesses, not only because they provide economic and job growth for our small business partners, but also because they result in quality production of firearms for the brave men and women in the military and law enforcement.”
