FEMALE MOUNTAIN LION HUNTING TO CLOSE IN DISTRICTS 213 & 214
The hunting of all female mountain lions in western Montana hunting districts 213 and 214, in portions of Granite, Powell and Deer Lodge counties, will close at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
The order halting the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest sub-quota for the districts combined had been met.
MOUNTAIN LION HUNTING CLOSED IN REGION 6 EXCEPT HUNTING DISTRICTS 680 & 690
The hunting of all mountain lions in north eastern Montana Region 6 except HD’s 680 and 690, which includes portions of Hill, Garfield, Blaine, Phillips, Valley, Daniels, Sheridan, Roosevelt, McCone, Dawson and Richland counties closed at one-half hour after sunset on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana, Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the districts combined had been met.
