December 28             Snow Canyon State Park – Ivins

Moonlit Hike: Join us at 8:30 p.m. for a moonlit, two-mile hike. Enjoy the unique opportunity to see the canyon by moon-glow. Space is limited and registration is required. 435-628-2255

December 29             Antelope Island State Park – Syracuse

Full Moon Hike: Join us at 5:30 p.m. on this three-mile moderate to difficult, round trip hike to one of the amazing overlooks on the island. Steep ascents make this hike challenging for some. Meet at the Frary Peak Trailhead located near mile five along Ranch Road. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight, snacks, and water. Not recommended for children under eight years old. Free with $9 park admission. 801-721-9569

December 29             Scofield State Park – Scofield

Ice Fishing Tournament: First tournament of the three-park Trifishalon series. Check-in begins at 6 a.m. and tournament begins at 7 a.m. Registration is $15 for adults and $10 for youth 16 and younger. Prizes are awarded for the five largest fish, and all participants are eligible for random prizes. Tournament is limited to 200 anglers. Register early by calling 801-322-3770.

Sunset Hike: Explore the twilight sights and sounds of the canyon during a 1.5-mile, round trip hike at 5 p.m. Space is limited and registration is required.  435-628-2255

December 29             Wasatch Mountain State Park – Midway

Track Me If You Can: Join us for a snow-filled family program on winter animal adaptations at 10 a.m. Meet at the visitor center and be prepared for cold weather. Bring snowshoes or rent a pair ($3 per child, $6 per adult) from Friends of Wasatch Mountain State Park. Registration is requested. 435-654-1791
