Colorado’s Lake Pueblo Hosts Second Annual Nature Photography Contest

Enjoy taking pictures?  Have a picture of wildlife or nature scenes that you think is worthy of a prize? Colorado Parks and Wildlife has a photography contest for you! Lake Pueblo State Park’s second annual photo contest will be held in conjunction with the annual Eagle Day Festival at the park, Feb. 1-3, 2013.

The deadline is Jan. 17, 2013 at 4 p.m. Photos must be of a scenic area or native wildlife in southeast Colorado. For complete information about submitting an entry and the other Eagle Day activities, please go to www.eagleday.org. The contest is open to the general public, and to both amateur and professional photographers.

Prizes will be given to adult and youth entries in both the scenic and wildlife categories. Winners will be announced along with a presentation by photographer Todd Huffman on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Lake Pueblo State Park auditorium. Light refreshments will be served.
