MidwayUSA Becomes National Friends of NRA Corporate Partner for 2013

The National Rifle Association is pleased to announce that MidwayUSA has agreed to a $50,000 Guardian Sponsorship for the Friends of NRA program for a fourth consecutive year.

Thousands of volunteers along with NRA field staff came together at more than 1,100 Friends of NRA banquets and events in 2012. Raising money to support range development, law enforcement and shooting sports programs, these family-friendly affairs are a collection of games, merriment and fantastic food. Since 1992, the Friends of NRA grassroots fundraising program has distributed more than $200 million in grants on the local, state and national level.

“With Customers who love the NRA as much as Brenda and I, we feel compelled to do what we can to preserve our country’s rich heritage,” said Larry Potterfield, founder and CEO of MidwayUSA. “Partnering with the NRA is essential to helping protect the Second Amendment rights of all Americans and Friends of NRA.”

MidwayUSA was founded in Columbia, Missouri back in 1977 as a small retail firearms store. Now celebrating its 35th Anniversary, MidwayUSA continues to offer Just About Everything for your shooting, reloading, gunsmithing and hunting needs.

“The outdoor industry has been a key source of financial support for the Friends of NRA program,” says John DaSilva, National Manager of Events & Marketing for Friends of NRA. “The support of Larry and Brenda Potterfield, along with MidwayUSA, provides invaluable funds for shooting sports education and training.”
