Stocking 70,000 Trout in Utah’s Deer Creek Reservoir

What: Deer Creek Reservoir is a popular fishing destination for many Wasatch Front residents. In early January, DWR fisheries personnel will stock approximately 70,000 rainbow trout in the reservoir. Biologists had originally planned to stock the fish in late 2012 but decided to give them a bit more time to grow. Now, the trout are about 10 inches long. Reporters and photographers are invited to join the DWR as the fish are stocked. You can capture great footage and interview a biologist about the fishery.
