Wyoming’s Call of the Wild Announced as Finalist in 2012 Sportsman Choice Awards

Officials from Orion Entertainment, the world’s largest producer of outdoor lifestyle television, announced that the series Wyoming’s Call of the Wild has been named a finalist for the 2012 Sportsman Choice Awards in the category Best Combination (Hunting & Fishing).  The winners will be announced at the Sportsman Choice Awards party in Las Vegas on January 17th.

Wyoming’s Call of the Wild teaches the next generation of hunters and anglers the thrill of outdoor adventure.  Sponsored by the Wyoming Game & Fish Department, the series includes youths of all levels of experience and ability from the seasoned young hunter in pursuit of a trophy pronghorn to a city slicker who has never touched a fishing rod in her life.  Wyoming’s Call of the Wild is more than just a hunting and fishing program – it is an opportunity to pass on the values and traditions of the outdoor experience to the young adults in the field as well as those watching at home.

Orion Entertainment caps a groundbreaking year with more award nominations than any other production company in the outdoor space and it’s productions continued to dominate the NBC Sports Network field sports roster as well. But it’s a year that also saw the company’sBuilding Alaska series become DIY network’s highest rated series as well as new productions airing and coming to History, National Geographic, HGTV, and Discovery’s Destination America.
