Yampa River State Park’s Annual Ski and Skate in Colorado

The cross country ski trail will be groomed and ready to enjoy. The pond will be cleared and ready for skating.
It will be a day of outdoor activities for the whole family – skiing, skating and wildlife watching. Bring the little tots’ sleds – there will be a small sled hill just for them. And, enjoy the evening activities for families – moonlight skiing and skating and sledding. Hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served.
Located in the Yampa Valley west of Steamboat Springs, Yampa River State Park offers visitors a wonderful base to enjoy western Colorado’s outdoors. A 134-mile stretch of the Yampa River is the heart of Yampa River State Park. To the northwest, you will find more outdoor recreation opportunities at Elkhead State Park, including ice fishing in the winter.
