Gearing Up for SHOT Show 2013

Is it that time of year again already? It seems like just yesterday I was coming home from my first Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (better known as SHOT Show)—an exhausting and exhilarating week of guns, glam, and desert sun. Time flies here in the outdoors.

As its name indicates, SHOT Show is the annual gathering for all businesses and businesspersons involved in the shooting sports, hunting, and law enforcement industries. SHOT is once again calling Las Vegas its home this year and all signs indicate that it will be just as exciting as it’s ever been.

The Outdoor Hub team will start arriving on-site Sunday evening and will be present for Monday’s Media Day at the Range and blazing around the show floor all week. Our team of reporters will be at all the major press conferences and announcements, in addition to conducting interviews for the scoop on new products being introduced in 2013.

Starting Monday afternoon we’ll be publishing updates hot off the firing line. Be sure to keep an eye on our SHOT Show page for breaking news on the coolest new guns and gear and my daily wrap ups. I've been a history and gun enthusiast since I was a kid. I love to shoot just about anything, from silenced bolt-action .22s to fully automatic heavy machine guns, and I love even more when I get to write about them. My main interests are modern small arms and the military small arms of World War II and prior conflicts, with a particular focus on Russian and Finnish firearms. Reading about guns like the Mosin-Nagant rifle in books and on the internet got me interested in collecting, shooting, and writing about them, and I hope to do the same for others through my work.
