Springfield Armory Introduces the XD-S 9mm

Jeremy Noder of Springfield Armory USA was excited to introduce the new XD-S 9MM pistol for 2013. The XD-S 9MM is built on the same frame as the popular Springfield Armory USA .45 caliber pistol.

“Our 9MM has basically the same specs as the .45, only a few ounces heavier with the extra metal in the barrel,” Noder explained. The XD-S is a lighter polymer gun so it is a good choice for a “carry” firearm. Magazine capacity is 7 + 1. It has fiber optic front and dovetail rear sights. The XD-S is easy to shoot out of the box. If you are looking for a thin, light 9MM weapon, then the XD-S certainly warrants your attention.
