Polar Bottle Receives National Media Attention with Feature on Good Morning America

Polar Bottle has received national media attention with a feature on the top morning talk show in the nation, Good Morning America.
The show, which aired on ABC this morning, highlighted the new Polar Bottle Ergo insulated water bottle in its weekly “Secret Deals and Steals” segment, offering a limited 50% off deal on the $18.99 bottle for Good Morning America viewers. Good Morning America representatives approached Polar Bottle about the feature early last week and according the Polar Bottle President Judy Amabile, the Boulder, Colorado-based company jumped at the opportunity.
“It’s really exciting for us to get featured on a show as recognized and popular as Good Morning America,” Amabile said, referring to the talk show’s five million viewers.
Amabile and Polar Bottle Vice President Robert Heiberger first began developing and producing Polar Bottle water bottles — the original insulated water bottle design — out of their garage in 1994. Back then, she says, it was hard to imagine that one day their product would be featured on national television.
“At first, we were just trying to get the bottles into a few local bike shops,” Amabile said, reflecting back to when the company only had one employee and she traveled around Colorado on her own selling the first Polar Bottle prototypes. “If they hadn’t taken a chance on us, who knows where we’d be.”
Today, Polar Bottle has more than 50 employees and is recognized as one of the leading reusable water bottle brands in the country.
“It’s really a Cinderella story,” Amabile said of the company’s growth over the past 19 years. “It has been quite a journey,”
The Polar Bottle Ergo— one of two new bottle designs the company released last year — is a multi-use bottle designed with a Half Twist cap that allows for superior drinkability.
