The class is open to anyone; however, anyone 16 and under should be accompanied by an adult. Reserve your spot by contacting the Laconia Recreation Department at (603) 524-5046. The class is free, and registration is first-come, first-served. All equipment and materials will be provided. You do not need to have a fishing license to participate.
The morning will be spent at the Laconia Community Center at 306 Union Avenue, Laconia, where you will learn about ice fishing equipment, safety and practices, as well as some winter ecology of lakes and ponds. Then we will head out to the local lake and put your newly learned skills to the test!
