Peyton Manning Relieves Post-game Tensions with Deer Hunt

Following the upset in the Denver Broncos versus Baltimore Ravens playoff game, reports have come in that Peyton Manning has taken to a tried-and-true stress reliever: hunting with good company.

According to NFL.com, Manning is rounding the country in search of good game with his old friend Todd Helton, first baseman for the Colorado Rockies.

“He told me he killed, in one day, a duck in Colorado and a deer in Mississippi,” said Archie Manning, Peyton’s father. “He’s trying to get it out of his system. I don’t know when that happens or how. But when he reflects on it, he’s already said it, it was really a special year.”

Many hunters find the experience to be stress relieving. It might be being immersed in nature, the clean fresh air, or the thrill of the chase that inspires 14 million Americans to don their orange vests every year. No doubt Peyton Manning will return from his trip reinvigorated for next season and ready to play some football.
