Liddle Marketing Company is pleased to announce the world-class location of the third-annual All-Star Walleye School: Lake of the Woods and the Rainy River near Baudette, Minnesota. Attendees will enjoy lodging and classroom accommodations at the recently renovated Sportsman’s Lodge, a landmark property on Lake of the Woods. Dates are August 8 through 11, 2013.
While several North American locations claim to be “Walleye Capital,” there is no doubt that Lake of the Woods can back up such a claim. How awesome to spend two-and-a-half days there with the best walleye anglers in the country? Guys like Kevin McQuoid, Mark Courts, Brian “Bro” Brosdahl, Bill Shimota, Dan Stier and Eric Olson. All-Star anglers each, teaching techniques and methods from their professionally-rigged Evinrude-powered Ranger Boats.
“The diversity we see in the students is amazing: novice, mid-level guys with basic skills, even guys with tournament experience,” shared George Liddle, manufacturer’s representative with Ranger Boats and sponsor of the school. They just wanted to learn from the best professional anglers so they invested in attending.” The school gives both classroom time, one-on-one conversation with the pros and two-on-one time on the water in four on-the-water sessions.
“Lake of the Woods will be a super destination in August,” added Chip Leer, co-host of the school. “Such a renowned walleye factory, and having Rainy River accessible really adds to the equation. We will be able to teach and show river techniques as well as lake applications.” The combination of All-Star instructors and a world-class destination, coupled with a peak time of the year, means the group will catch a lot of fish. That makes everyone happy.
“It was really exciting to watch everyone’s skills and confidence grow over the three days last year,” reminisced Bill Shimota. One of the youngest All-Star instructors, Shimota has won several tournaments in his fishing career and enjoys being a part of the program that has diversity in age and diversity in skill in the students, too. “We see both seasoned veterans and new-to-fishing young students. We mix it up each morning and afternoon so I get a chance for eight different attendees in my boat over four on-the-water sessions. They like fishing with different pros each session, seeing the little things that we do differently.” Combined the group has boated well over a million dollars in tournament purse.
Space is limited and packages include lodging. Pricing starts at $700 per person. Interested parties should contact Chip Leer at 218-547-4714 or e-mail: info@liddlemarketingcompany.com.
