December 7, 2012 The North Carolina Bass Federation, along with sponsors and volunteers from the North Carolina Northern Region area, held a “Pretty in Pink” Benefit Tournament on Saturday, December 1 to raise donations for the Pretty in Pink Foundation.
There were 31 teams in attendance with competition from 7am-3pm. Pretty in Pink Foundation members, Barbara Fields and Bernadette Pickles, were also present.
The North Carolina Bass Federation Northern Region donated $2,000 to the foundation. The North Carolina Bass Federation board of directors also donated $500.
“Thanks to the fishermen, the NC Bass Federation and the Northern Region, we were able to donate $2,500 to the foundation,” North Carolina Northern Region Director, Charlie Gunter, said. “Thank you all for the wonderful day, and to all who contributed to this great cause. As Bernadette said at the weigh-in, “‘We are saving lives!’”
The team of Dave Farman and Allan Farman took first place with 15.97lbs. The “big fish” pot went to the team of Mike McDonald and David Farrington who caught a 4.78lb largemouth.
