Citizens in Southeast Colorado Sought for a Sportsmen’s Group

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for citizens to serve on a southeastern Colorado Sportsmen’s Advisory Panel. The panel will discuss the concerns facing Colorado’s hunters and anglers and provide feedback on wildlife management issues in southeast Colorado.

The feedback gathered will help Colorado Parks and Wildlife focus on which future opportunities hunters and anglers are interested in.

“Colorado Parks and Wildlife is involved in many facets of outdoor recreation that affect a wide range of the public in southeast Colorado,” said Dan Prenzlow, southeast region manager. “The Sportsmen’s Advisory Panel offers a great opportunity for hunters and anglers to voice their opinions on the issues they are concerned about.”

An organizational meeting for the group will be at 6 p.m., Feb. 28 at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office at 4255 Sinton Road in Colorado Springs. The meeting is open to everyone and any topics regarding how the state manages hunting and fishing will be open for discussion.

The meeting will also include the selection of two citizens to represent southeast Colorado at a statewide Sportsmen’s Roundtable that will meet twice a year.
