Mountain Lion Hunting Closed in Several HD’s in Regions 2, 4, & 5

The hunting of mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region’s 2, 4 and 5 closed at one-half hour after sunset on Sunday, February 3, 2013:
Closed to hunting of male mountain lions:
- HD’s 413 & 432 – which includes portions of Cascade, Meagher and Judith Basin counties.
Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:
- HD’s – 213 & 214 – which includes portions of Granite, Powell and Deer Lodge counties.
- HD 520 – which includes portions of portions of Carbon, Stillwater and Sweet Grass counties.
The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the district(s) had been met.
