Peru’s visionary leader in sustainable tourism, Rainforest Expeditions http://www.perunature.com/, announces that through the work of Posadas Amazonas, one of its three eco lodges in the Peruvian rainforest, it has been accepted into the Zeitz Foundation Long Run Alliance.
The announcement was made by Dr. Anne-Kathrin Zschiegner, Long Run Initiative Coordinator, Zeitz Foundation that promotes an innovative approach to sustainable ecosystem management which aims to achieve sustainability through a balance of conservation, community, culture and commerce (the 4Cs). The organization has headquarters in Kenya.
The Long Run initiative provides trustworthy places on earth in which new technologies and approaches can be pioneered. The Zeitz Foundation works in all four corners of the globe with Long Run Supporters, Long Run Alliance Members and Long Run Destinations. These are enterprises around the world that work towards environmental sustainability while fostering community development and cultural stewardship. With membership come interface opportunities with like-minded groups as well as marketing and branding opportunities.
