“We started Bass Pro Sites because we recognized a need in the bass fishing community for anglers to have a better way to promote themselves on a weekend angler budget,” said Ray Otterson, founder of Bass Pro Sites. “Before long, anglers started telling us that their sponsors were impressed with their website and wanted to know if we could do the same for them. ”
As more outdoor enthusiast companies turned to Bass Pro Sites for websites, the need to have a name that reflected a broader audience became necessary. With the 2013 season, Pro Sites Unlimited LLC was launched.
“We started the business to take care of anglers,” said Otterson. “With a 20-year advertising career, creating commercials and digital communication for national companies like Nike, Nintendo, Time Warner Cable, AT&T, Skeeter and more, I also bring a little more to the table then just a knowledge of Internet technology. Being a tournament fisherman, I found myself thinking more about my time on the water though and decided I’d rather use my marketing and digital experience to help people that share my passion. Doing it on a bigger scale for companies simply brings more of my experience into play.”
