IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Cabela’s Announces 2013 Schedule

Highlights include lower tournament entry fees, 200 percent payback

The Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) Redfish Tour presented by Cabela’s recently announced the 2013 tour schedule, complete with lower tournament entry fees and 200 percent payback. The schedule includes two regular-season events in each of the tour’s five divisions and guarantees a fully-rigged Ranger/Yamaha boat package, valued at $30,000, for first place at each stop.

The IFA Redfish Tour kicks off on March 16 at Placida, Fla., and wraps up the 2013 regular season at Ruskin, Fla., on Sept. 14. The two-day, $250 entry-fee championship event is set for Oct. 24-26 at Houma, La. Tournament registration for the 2013 season is currently underway and the field size for each event will be limited to the first 100 boats that register. In addition, any angler that signs up for two or more events by March 1 will be entered in a drawing for a free Power-Pole shallow water anchor.

Committed to delivering the greatest value to competitive inshore anglers, the IFA Redfish Tour will introduce even lower tournament entry fees for 2013. Reduced from $400 to $250 per event, the IFA Redfish Tour will offer an impressive 200 percent payback plus several lucrative contingency opportunities. Also, for an additional $250, anglers can sign up for the Angler’s Advantage program, which allows participants to compete in an even higher payout bracket.

“The goal of the IFA Redfish Tour is to offer inshore anglers a competitive tournament series with the opportunity for lucrative payouts at minimal costs for the angler,” said IFA Director Bart Schad. “Despite the lower entry fees, we’ve kept the payout in place. Couple that with the Angler’s Advantage program and contingency awards, and we’re offering 200 percent payback at every event – you won’t find that anywhere else in the sport.”

The IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Cabela’s continues to draw redfish anglers from Texas to the Carolinas and beyond, offering two-angler teams the opportunity to compete in five different divisions, each offering a two-event regular season. Low entry fees for the one-day, regular-season tournaments allow anglers to fish close to home and minimize expenses, while still being a part of a premier inshore, catch-and-release redfish tournament organization. Teams fishing any two of the IFA’s 10 regular-season events are automatically qualified for a $250 entry-fee championship event, pitting qualifiers from each of the five divisions for lucrative payouts and prize packages, as well as a shot at the coveted Cabela’s Overall Team of the Year Award for the five regular-season division winners.

The first-place prize package for all 10 IFA Redfish Tour regular-season events remains extremely lucrative. In 2013, every regular-season tournament winner is guaranteed a fully loaded 2013 Ranger Banshee Extreme. The boat is powered by a 60-horsepower, four-stroke Yamaha outboard and is equipped with a Power-Pole shallow water anchor, Minn Kota trolling motor, Humminbird electronics, Blue Point Fabrication metal work and a Bob’s four-inch Ultra Light Jackplate. The entire first-place prize package is valued at $30,000. The 2013 IFA Redfish Tour Championship will award first and second-place finishers, guaranteed, with a Ranger 184 Ghost w/a Yamaha 150HP Package ($45,000) and a Ranger Banshee Extreme w/a Yamaha 60HP ($30,000).
