Smith & Wesson Donates Rifles to YSSA

The Youth Shooting Sports Alliance (YSSA) announced that Smith & Wesson has generously donated 17 sparingly used .22 cal. rifles to the YSSA’s Donated Firearms Program.

“The YSSA’s Donated Firearms Program provides an opportunity for sportsmen and women to donate their used guns and help the YSSA build the next generation of shooters,” said Joe Murfin, President of YSSA. Murfin added, “It may be just a used gun to you, but it can help sustain the sport of shooting while strengthening the core values of the next generation of shooters and hunters.”

The firearms donated by Smith & Wesson will be placed on GunBroker.com – the web’s largest hunting and sport shooting auction – to generate funds needed to acquire equipment and supplies in support of YSSA priority youth shooting sports programs.

Mario Pasantes, Senior Vice President of Marketing and International Sales, said, “Smith & Wesson is proud to support the efforts of the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance. The organization’s focus on developing successful and safe youth programs has resulted in introducing a large number of young people to the joys and the responsibilities of participating in the shooting sports. By supporting these programs, we are pleased to invest in the future of our nation’s sporting heritage.”
