New Jersey General Assembly Pushes Extreme Anti-gun Agenda

New Jersey General Assembly members are seeking outright bans and onerous restrictions on your rights through a large number of anti-gun bills. Now the Law and Public Safety Committee ignored the seven-hour hearing with over 500 gun owners packing the committee rooms and approved 20 bills that will affect you.

To oppose these bills, NSSF is urging all sportsmen, hunters and gun owners to contact your state Assembly member immediately, telling them to oppose ill-considered, fast-track legislation.

Now is the time to let your voice be heard and let your Assembly member know you oppose legislation that would infringe on your Second Amendment rights, and dictate the magazines, rifles and handguns you can legally enjoy.  New Jersey manufacturers and retailers would be directly affected as well, resulting in the loss of good paying jobs and badly needed tax revenue to the state.

There are bills that would arbitrarily reduce magazine capacity to 10 rounds, onerous ammunition restrictions, and drastic changes to the purchasing process. Visit www.njleg.state.nj.us to view the far-reaching proposals (go to the Feb. 13 schedule and select “Assembly Law and Public Safety”).
