Daniel Wells Joins QDMA as Carolinas Regional Director

The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) is pleased to announce that Daniel Wells of Tallahassee, Florida, has joined the organization as the Carolinas Regional Director.

As the Carolinas Regional Director, Wells will support QDMA Branches and volunteers while promoting the formation of new Branches in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Wells, who will relocate from Tallahassee to Columbia, South Carolina, is a 2012 graduate of Florida State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Psychology. Wells served as a committee member for Tallahassee’s DU Chapter and founded the Florida State DU Chapter, and he developed and maintained social media for both chapters. He has also served as a committee member of the Apalachee Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF).

“It is an honor to have been selected to represent the QDMA,” said Wells. “I am excited about hitting the ground running and helping push QDMA to the forefront of conservation. Working in a position like this has been my dream for a long time. Who else gets to say they work to conserve hunting for future generations? I am passionate about hunting and conservation, and I look forward to meeting all of the great volunteers and promoting the mission and values that make QDMA a great organization.”

Wells joins QDMA from Little Wilderness Landscape and Maintenance, where he has worked as a job site foreman and installer since 2004. His work experience also includes hog control and refuge maintenance for the United States Department of the Interior in St. Marks, Florida, along with seasonal work as a wrangler and ranch hand for Moose Head Ranch in Moose, Wyoming, and as an operations worker with the Florida Senate in 2011.
