Military Channel’s Triggers Features NRA Museum and Firing Range

You’ve seen a great deal of the National Rifle Association on television lately, and tonight you’ll see more on the Military Channel’s Triggers: Weapons that Changed the World at 10:00pm eastern standard time

Hosted by former Army Ranger and Air Force Pararescueman Wil Willis, Triggers taps the world’s top firearms experts for insight into the guns that helped change modern warfare. In this evening’s episode, Willis and guests take the combat shotgun out for a spin.

Along for tonight’s ride is Philip Schreier, Senior Curator for the NRA National Firearms Museum. Phil and Wil review the world’s first successful semi-automatic shotgun – the Browning Auto. The two talk about the history of the Browning from the heart of the NRA Museum before taking it down to the Headquarters’ Range. After blasting away at a collection of clays and plate, one can truly appreciate the operational capabilities of the Auto-5.

“I think viewers will be surprised with what happens when we put the Auto-5 up against a standard pump action shotgun,” said Schreier. “It was a great way to spend the afternoon.”

Rounding out the hour, Wil also goes into the field with a Blunderbuss, a Benelli M4 and shoots alongside two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Sgt. Vincent Hancock.

To catch all the action, tune in tonight, February 20, at 10:00pm eastern for Triggers: Weapons that Changed the World on the Military Channel.
