Indiana Man Killed in Snowmobile Crash in Northern Wisconsin

A 26-year-old Indiana man was killed in a snowmobile accident Sunday afternoon.
DNR Warden and Snowmobile Safety Administrator Gary Eddy says the man was killed when he failed to negotiate a curve while driving his snowmobile on a road open to snowmobile traffic in the Town of Barnes in Bayfield County.
Eddy says the accident occurred around 3 p.m. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors. An investigation continues.
This tragic event pushes to 16 the number of snowmobiler fatalities in Wisconsin during this snowmobiling season.
