Spring Break Merriment in Gunnison-Crested Butte, Colorado
OutdoorHub 02.25.13
March and April are choice times to ski and snowboard Crested Butte with trails that have accumulated snow all winter, pleasant spring temperatures and wallet-friendly deals. Plus, there is action galore throughout the Gunnison-Crested Butte Valley due to a jam-packed calendar of events and plenty of non-skiing outdoor fun such as hot air ballooning, zip lining, dog sledding, snowshoeing, fishing, snowcat driving experiences, snowmobiling, tubing and more.
Here is a glimpse of happenings from March 1 until April 7, closing day for both Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Crested Butte Nordic Center. Or extend the season with backcountry adventures on your own or guided by local outfitters.
