“The Give Back program at Big Game Gear is proud to announce an Organizational Program partnership with JMac-JT Deer Farm. “It is simple, just use the Organizational Code “JMAC” at checkout and 10% percentage of your purchase will go to supporting JT-JMac Deer Farms,” states the General Partner, Ronald Ridgeway.
Big Game Gear has selected JT-JMac Deer Farm because their values and ethics align in offering assistance to Disabled Veterans. JMAC-JT Deer Farm is a Christian-owned deer farm as well as a hunting ranch that offers hunts to Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans. JMAC offer a Wilderness Therapy program that has been modified to meet the needs of service members that return home both mentally and physically changed. According to Jay Sanders of JT-JMac Deer Farms, “the therapeutic goal for wounded warriors is to allow them to experience the outdoors by camping, hunting, hiking, and other activities all while spending time with licensed professional counselors (LPC). This dualistic approach allows each service member to enjoy the outdoors while exploring their new life which includes physical limitations, mental obstacles and adjustments to relationships and family.” The process of returning to family-life can be a challenging transition for the family members as well. Therefore, these outdoor adventures and hunting trips not only offer hunting but they also provide counseling, wilderness therapy, and animal therapy for those who do not wish to hunt. Their primary goal is to assist in the healing of the Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans of America totally Free of Charge. Part of Mr. Saunders future vision includes offering hunts to under privileged and disabled children as the program expands.
