For the fourth time in six years Scott Warren of Warren Tactical Sights has claimed the High Senior title at the International Defensive Pistol Association’s Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship.
Warren, who previously won the title in 2008, 2009 and 2010, finished ninth overall in the match and third Master in the Enhanced Service Pistol division with a final time of 200.08 seconds with 76 points down.
“Scott has always been one of IDPA’s top competitors and among the best pistol shooters in America. Regardless of who’s competing in the match, Scott is going to bring his ‘A’ game and that’s exactly what he did this past weekend at the Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.
Second place in the Senior category went to Dave Harrington of Team Panteao, competing as a Master in the ESP division, with 203.66 (54). Team Smith & Wesson’s Jerry Miculek, who won the Enhanced Service Revolver title, finished third among the Seniors with 215.47 (55). Rounding out the top five were Bill Go of Academi with 229.07 (62) as a Master in the Stock Service Pistol division and James Martino, the 2012 defending champ and an ESP Master, who finished with 233,88 (78).
The 2013 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship took place February 21-23 at the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Springfield, Mass., drawing many of the shooting sports’ top pistol shooters from 28 states, one U.S. territory and three foreign nations.
