Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge Presented by Cabela’s Heads to Chalmette, Louisiana March 8-10

Some of the best professional inshore anglers and co-anglers will converge on Chalmette, La., for the Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge Presented by Cabela’s on March 8-10. The event, which is the first of two high-stakes, made-for-TV competitions, features a three-day format with over 100-percent cash payout guaranteed.
The event will operate out of Marina Motel (5353 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA 70043). The Lucas Oil Pro-Am Redfish Challenge will begin its activities on Thursday, March 7, with tournament registration at Tony’s Restaurant (434 East Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette, LA 70043) from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with the Pairings Meeting to follow at 7 p.m. Anglers will launch from Marina Motel at safe light during the three-day event. Check-in times will be assigned at registration with anglers returning to the Marina Motel for the weigh-in each day.
With over 100-percent cash payout guaranteed, the tournament series will feature two events in 2013: Chalmette on March 8-10 and Punta Gorda, Fla., on Oct. 4-6. Both events will be limited to a field size of approximately 25 pros and co-anglers and will feature a minimum guaranteed payout of $55,000 on the pro-side, including $25,000 for first place, and $12,500 for co-anglers. Both events also feature a shared weight format (two fish per day/boat) and will be broadcast to over 120 million combined TV households on NBC Sports Outdoors, Pursuit Channel, MAVTV, the Texas Channel and the World Fishing Network.
Registration for the second event at Punta Gorda, Fla. will begin shortly after the Chalmette tournament. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to anglers who fished the first event. The $2,000 pro entry fee must be paid in full to guarantee a spot for the Punta Gorda event. Pros registered with a co-angler ($500 entry) will be given priority.
