Firearm Hunter Education Courses Offered in Lincoln, Nebraska

Three firearm hunter education courses will be offered by Nebraska Game and Parks Commission volunteer instructors in Lincoln beginning March 11, March 14 and March 26.

The free course will be held at the Lincoln Izaak Walton League, 10801 South 134th Street, and at the Hunter Education Office, 4817 N. 56th St., Ste. 1. The course will provide instruction in the areas of safe firearms use, shooting and sighting techniques, hunter ethics, game identification and conservation management. Students must attend all of the sessions to complete the course.

In Nebraska, hunters ages 12 through 29 must have on their person proof of successful completion of firearm hunter education while hunting with a firearm or crossbow.

Participants must register for the course at HuntSafeNebraska.org.
