Wyoming Nonresident Deer, Antelope Applications Due March 15
OutdoorHub 03.05.13
The application deadline for nonresidents to be included in the drawing for hunting deer and antelope in Wyoming during the 2013 season is 5 p.m. March 15. The deadline is the same for online and paper applications.
Hunters may apply online at wgfd.wyo.gov or by mail. Because the application deadline is quickly approaching, Game and Fish recommends that hunters apply online to ensure their applications will be received by the deadline date. In the recently completed nonresident elk draw more than 90 percent of hunters applied online.
The application deadline for reduced price doe/fawn antelope and deer licenses is also March 15. In the past, most of these licenses remained after the drawing and were bought picked up at local license agents once the season started. In recent years, doe/fawn license quotas in a number of areas, especially on public lands, have been issued in the initial drawing. Hunters are encouraged to apply for doe/fawn licenses in the drawing rather than take the chance that doe/fawn licenses in their desired area will be sold out.
What licenses remain after the drawing will be available at Game and Fish offices, automated license agents and wgfd.wyo.gov beginning July 10 for full-price licenses and July 17 for reduced-price licenses.
