Drift Innovation, maker of the award-winning HD Ghost, announce a partnership with the USOne Sailing Team. Using the Drift HD Ghost action camera, the United State’s premiere sailing team will capture unique footage.
“We are excited and proud to be in association with Drift Innovation,” says USOne Helmsman, Taylor Canfield. “The Drift HD Ghost is the best camera option for our team because of its overall ease of use, two-way remote control and photo tagging features. Being able to mount the camera in unique locations on the boat and record only key footage to keep editing time down are huge benefits.”
Coming off a wildly successful race season with wins at the Chicago Match Race, US Match Race Championships, Argo Group Gold Cup and Monsoon Cup World Championships, the USOne Sailing team has proved to be a major competitor in the global race arena. The team plans to sail the world and compete in this upcoming season’s major sailing competitions.
In addition to using the HD Ghost to capture sailing footage for fans, USOne will use the camera as a training device. “Sailing is all about teamwork and timing,” says Canfield. “With the Ghost, our team can view footage and see what needs improvement.”
Managing Director for Drift Americas, John Rounds, exclaims, “It is exciting to work with the USOne sailing team. Their global race schedule and high performance sailing videos are a great way to showcase the Drift HD Ghost in the sailing community.”
Drift plans to use this partnership to test out cameras in a high-intensity, aquatic environment while capturing global footage for their content library.
