Michigan Snowmobile and Trails Advisory Council to meet March 13 in Roscommon

The Michigan Snowmobile and Trails Advisory Council (MSTAC) will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, March 13, at the Ralph A. MacMullan Conference Center, 104 Conservation Drive, in Roscommon. The public meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and the agenda will focus upon review of the draft Michigan Comprehensive Trail Plan.

The Michigan Snowmobile and Trails Advisory Council was created by Part 721, Michigan Trailways, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended, to advise the director of the DNR and the governor on the creation, development, operation and maintenance of motorized and non-motorized trails in the state, including, but not limited to, snowmobile, biking, equestrian, hiking, off-road vehicle and skiing trails. In advising the director and governor on the creation and development of motorized and non-motorized trails in the state, the council shall seek to have the trails linked wherever possible.
