The deadline for submitting a 2013 application for a limited big game hunting license is April 2.
“Every year we get questions about how to get the best hunting licenses,” said Lamar District Wildlife Manager Rick Gardner. “So, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering free informational sessions about the ‘how-to tips’ for applying for big game hunting licenses.”
Meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

The classes are especially helpful for novice hunters who have had difficulty understanding the multi-faceted Colorado big game application process. Hunters will get tips on how to find best odds of drawing licenses, how to find harvest reports, population parameters such as buck/doe ratios, population size, preference points and figuring out how the leftover draw works. In addition, officers will walk hunters through the on-line application process and show them how to avoid the most common errors.
There is no cost to attend.
