$10,000 Awarded in “TruckVault Cares” Initiative

Six groups shared in the funds and national publicity provided via Scott Linden’s WingshootingUSAtelevision series in the second annual “TruckVault Cares … for conservation, canines & kids” initiative.

Lead sponsor TruckVault was joined in the effort by co-sponsorsFilson,KentCartridge, Happy Jack, and Ugly Dog Hunting Co., in which viewers are urged to vote online for their favorite group. Each voted directed funds on a proportional basis so that all organizations received dollars in the recent payout. Beneficiary groups included: Scholastic Clay Target Program, a coalition of gun dog rescue groups, Ruffed Grouse Society, National 4H Shooting Sports, International Hunter Education Association, and Quail Unlimited (recently absorbed by Quail Forever).

“These are groups that deserve wider recognition for their efforts to support the same things I do on the show,”Lindensaid. “My viewers love bird hunting and dogs, but they also appreciate the organizations that make possible the pursuit of our passion.”

Beneficiary groups were provided with online, on-air and print marketing exposure including television commercials and in-show educational features on WingshootingUSA. The only fundraising and awareness effort in upland television, the viral initiative also motivated each groups’ members to learn more about the other groups, recruit new members, and learn more about their own organization. An estimated 20 million viewers saw the groups’ media messages. Over 38,000 votes were registered, with prizes going to a number of voters chosen at random.

The most watched upland hunting TV show in the country, Wingshooting USAairs on seven networks, most year-round. Created and hosted by Linden, the title sponsor is the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s hunter-recruitment initiative of the same name. More information: www.scottlindenoutdoors.com.

Host and creator of the award-winning TV series Wingshooting USA, Scott Linden has learned a lot ... about upland hunting and bird dogs. But what's the point in learning, if it's not FUN? That's Scott's second objective. His job is to help you become a better shooter, dog owner and hunter, and enjoy the camaraderie and beauty of the hunt. Through video, articles, and seminars, Scott helps millions of beginning and seasoned bird hunters learn how their dog thinks - and acts - and how they can best utilize that information to shoot straighter, get the best performance from their dog, and put more birds in the bag.
