POMA Business Conference Auctions and Raffles Generate Over $11,000
The 2013 Professional Outdoor Media Association Conference auctions and raffles were a grand slam, again.
Conference attendees dug deep into their pockets and checkbooks and were exceedingly generous with their bids on the myriad of live and silent auction items and great raffle packages offered. The auctions and raffles raised over $11,000 for POMA and its educational programs.
The card auction for the Smith and Wesson handgun donated by the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance was a huge hit, generating over $1,200 in receipts. And, Jon Pries made the night’s biggest single-item bid for a package of wingshooting lessons and/or camp cooking donated by POMA Past President Bill Miller.
Other big ticket items included firearms, optics, a weekend at Jim Zumbo’s home in Wyoming, and a myriad of high-value silent auction packages of combined items from the long list of incredible donors (see below).
Donors – thank you for your support and lavish generosity. POMA is indebted to you. Your support is critical to the organization’s well being and financial strength.
More Auctions Online
In addition to the auctions held during the conference, more auctions are available on Gunbroker. Two amazing items are up for grabs through late-afternoon March 18, 2012. They are:
- An American Flag Flown Over Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, donated by Freedom Hunters
- A Benjamin Trail NP XL Magnum .22 Air Rifle with Optics Signed by Eight Outdoor TV Personalities, donated by Crosman / Benjamin
Additional POMA auctions will be scheduled on Gunbroker throughout the year.
NOTICE: Because POMA receives so many donations during the conference, we may have missed thanking someone and apologize in advance if we have. If you notice a name/company missing, please let us know so we can add them to the list of awesome donors.
