NPAA member Jamie Dietman #341 hosted the 2nd annual “Ernie’s take a kid Ice Fishing” day which was held on Gull Lake near Brainerd, Minnesota.

It was a beautiful day and you should have seen all the smiles the kids had. There were many fish caught by the kids including a large Northern. Besides ice fishing, there was ice Olympics which consisted of many different activities such as Ice auger race.

The Water Safety dog made an appearance to make wearing life jackets fun. Over fifty kids along with their parents enjoyed the event, along with the hot chocolate and chili that Ernie’s on Gull provided.

This event continues to be a great success thanks to the many volunteers and sponsors.
Hope to see everyone next year. A special thanks to Aqua-vu, Pure Fishing, Ice Buster Bobbers, Linder Media, In-Fisherman, Ice Force, Northland Tackle, NPAA, S&W Bait, Simply Outdoor Experiences, Dragon Hunter, Kohl’s and Camp Confidence.
