International Training, Inc. (ITI), a subsidiary of G4S Government Solutions, and providers of benchmark security training programs to the U.S. Government, U.S. Military and corporate America, has relaunched its Open Enrollment Program for 2013 at its Texas Facility, located in Dilley, TX. The Open Enrollment period will kick off in May 2013 with the Two Day Competitive Pistol (II) Course held on May 23rd through 24th, 2013 and the IDPA 2.0 Course held on May 25th, 2013. Both courses will be taught by ITI Senior Firearms Instructor, IDPA National Champion and Distinguished Master Brandon Wright.
The Two Day Competitive Pistol (II) Course is designed to provide the student with the capability to focus their training on specific skill sets. This course will enhance knowledge, develop skills, track progress and guide the competitive shooter on how to prepare for match competitions. Students will constantly be assessed while determining individual strengths and weaknesses with the goal toward improving students’ competitive edge. Students who complete the course will leave with a thorough understanding of practice methods and general training plans for continuing skill mastery. More information on the Two Day Competitive Pistol (II) Course can be found in the Texas Open Enrollment Course Section of the ITI website.
The IDPA 2.0 Course is designed to provide students with how to shoot IDPA stages, common terms used in the match and the mental side of the game. Shooters need to be classified in IDPA and know how to draw, reload and handle your gun safely. The instructor will cover some fundamentals of shooting in the beginning of the class during the assessment. Props, such as swingers, droppers and drop turners, will be used in the course as we will be shooting stages throughout the class. More information on the IDPA 2.0 Course can be found in the Texas Open Enrollment Course Section of the ITI website.
