The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is reminding hunters who were awarded permits in the Spring Turkey Permit Lottery that permits must be claimed by Monday, March 25 at 11:59 p.m. Any unclaimed permits WILL BE FORFEITED and become available for sale during the over-the-counter sales.

Hunters can check their permit status and claim permits online at http://www.nj.wildlifelicense.com/. Permits can also be claimed at any license agent (see http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/agentlst.htm for an agent near you).

Leftover and unclaimed Spring Turkey Permits will go on sale Monday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m. online and at license agents. These permits will be available on a first come, first served basis until either the season ends or the permit quota is met, whichever comes first. Permits will be available for sale at all license agents and on the internet sales website. The Permit Area/Period Availability Report webpage ( http://www.nj.wildlifelicense.com/ALS/unit_report.php ) will be updated with turkey permit information prior to the April 1 sale.
