Mississippi DWFP & Pearl Parks and Recreation to Host Youth Fishing Rodeo at Bright Park Pond

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Fisheries Bureau and Pearl Parks and Recreation are hosting a youth fishing rodeo at Bright Park pond on Saturday, April 6, 2013.  The fishing rodeo is open to youth 15 years of age and under, and registration begins at 1:00 p.m. Bright Park is located at 3705 Flynn Drive, Pearl, MS.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, catfish bait, and stringers.

The rodeos offer a quality fishing experience for younger anglers in a controlled and safe environment. The rodeo pond will be stocked with catfish to make it easier for participants to catch fish. This rodeo is a great way for a family to spend quality time together.

Those seeking additional information may call the Pearl Parks Office at 601-932-3541 or the MDWFP Fisheries Bureau at 601-432-2200.
