Sobotka Sets State Record at NASP in Lincoln, Nebraska

Devin Sobotka of Lincoln Southeast High School set a state record with 290 points at the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) state tournament March 23 in Lincoln.
The tournament at the Lancaster Event Center drew 460 elementary, middle school and high school archers from 23 schools. The tournament was the culminating event in the state for NASP, which is a physical education curriculum that has spread across the nation.Kora Shedenhelm of Omaha Mater Dei Academy repeated as the top girl scorer in the meet with 284 points.
The following teams qualified for the NASP national tournament May 10-11 in Louisville, Ky., by winning a state championship or meeting a score requirement:
High School Division – Omaha Mater Dei Academy, Lincoln North Star; Middle School Division – Lincoln Pound; Elementary Division – Lincoln Pound.
All top-five individual finishers also qualified for nationals. The top finishers in each division were:
