Led by Randi Rogers, one of the nation’s top women shooters whose competition resume boasts multiple world and national titles across several disciplines, Team Comp-Tac made its first official foray into 3 Gun competition this past weekend at the Superstition Mystery Mountain 3 Gun.
Competing in only her second 3 Gun match ever, Rogers managed to finish a solid third Lady in the Tactical Optics division by calling on her Cowboy Action Shooting experience where she is an eleven-time Women’s World Champion.
“Shooting the Superstition Mystery Mountain match was a huge learning experience for me. I was able to draw on some of my experience from SASS, but modern 3 Gun has brought a whole new set of exciting challenges not found in the Cowboy Action discipline,” explained Rogers who has her sights set on competing in more 3 Gun matches this season.
In addition to Rogers and her teammate Gordon Carrell representing Team Comp-Tac in the competition, Comp-Tac Victory Gear also sponsored the event with an exclusive stage sponsorship.
Comp-Tac Victory Gear is already one of the most popular holster brands in pistol competition. Their sponsorship of the Superstition Mystery Mountain 3 Gun represents the company’s ongoing effort to provide the best gear to its shooting sports customers .
“Competition has always been an extremely important part of Comp-Tac’s business because it is one of the best ways to truly test a product. If competitors are willing to trust their performance to equipment it is a great evaluator of a product’s design and success. With the growing popularity of 3 Gun, Comp-Tac is looking forward to developing new products that give 3 Gunners the performance they need and the quality they demand,” said Gregg Garrett, owner and president of Comp-Tac.
Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Carrell will compete in USPSA Area 6 in St. Augustine, Fla., April 19-21.
