ACUI International Skeet Champions Announced in Texas

ACUI named individual and team champions in International Skeet last night at their Collegiate Clay Target Championships in San Antonio. 338 competed in International Skeet. Winners were:

Women’s:

1st place: Brandy Drozd, Texas A&M University (91 +22)

2nd place: Morgan Craft, Lindenwood University (89 +23)

3rd place: Gayla Gregory, Blinn College (90 +21)

Men’s:

1st place: Dustin Perry, Lindenwood University (98 +22)

2nd place: Tanner McBee, Austin Community College (95 +17)

3rd place: Granger Dewitt, Texas A&M University (93 +16)

Team, Division I:

1st place: Lindenwood University (Dustin Perry, Nick Boerboon, Matt Fuqua; score: 280)

2nd place: Texas A&M University (Brandy Drozd, Thomas Bayer, Granger Dewitt; score: 271)

3rd place: Bethel University (Casey Jones, Ashleigh Hafley, Myles Palmer; score: 239)

Team, Division II:

1st place: Fort Hays State University (Print Zutavern, Damien Giles, Bill Leighton; score: 254)

2nd place: University of Missouri (Nicholas Garst, Glenn Carl, Tyler Schulte; score: 249)

3rd place: Hillsdale College (Joe Kain, Ian Dupre, Blake Scott; score: 245)

Team, Division III:

1st place: Purdue University (Jacob Keldsen, Matt Prattos, Austin Coffel; score: 244)

2nd place: University of Louisiana–Lafayette (Josh Raley, Andrew Gauthier, Dolzie Dupuis; score: 241)

3rd place: George Mason University (Michael Campbell, Austin Hall, Sean Renfroe; score: 238)

“The NRA was pleased to be part of yesterday’s events. Though the weather started cool in the morning, the day turned out exceptionally well. We extend our congratulations to all the champion individuals and teams,” said Kyle Jillson, media specialist, NRA Marketing and Media. This is the fourth year that scores in Sporting Clays have been used to calculate High Overall (HOA) and over 60% of all participants competed in the event.

Events in the ACUI Intercollegiate Clay Target Championships continue today with competition rounds in Five Stand and International Trap.
