Published digitally on a quarterly basis, Western Whitetail magazine is the leading authority on Western White-tailed deer hunting, and covers whitetail deer hunting from Mexico to Canada and from the far Midwest to the Pacific Northwest, with an emphasis on the Western Whitetail sub-species: Carmen Mountain, Columbian, Coues, Dakota, Northwest, and Texas.
With its current issue (http://www.westernwhitetail-digital.com/westernwhitetail/spring_2013), readers now have the opportunity to experience a new, easy to read and navigate digital-edition, with quality content under the direction of new editor, Scott Haugen.
Scott Haugen, full-time author and host of Trijicon’s The Hunt (aired on the Sportsman Channel), takes the reigns as the new editor of Western Whitetail magazine. Haugen is also a producer and public speaker with more than 40 years hunting experience. He has a Master’s degree in education, 12 years of public school teaching experience, and more than 1,500 magazine articles under his belt. He has written a dozen books and appeared in over 350 TV episodes. Haugen has hunted numerous countries, across much of North America, and is a wealth of outdoor knowledge. However, his deepest passion lies in hunting the American West. You can learn more about Scott, his public appearances and book titles at www.scotthaugen.com. “We are excited to have someone as talented and experienced as Scott on our team,” said founder and editor in chief, Darren Choate.
