Diet Mountain Dew Sponsors Bassmaster Series, Including Angler Gerald Swindle

B.A.S.S., the worldwide authority on bass fishing, announced today that Diet Mountain Dew signed on for a year-long sponsorship of all B.A.S.S. tournament circuits, including the 2013 Bassmaster Elite Series, the 2013 Bassmaster Opens Series, the 2013 B.A.S.S. Nation events and the 2013 Bassmaster College Series.
“Diet Mountain Dew is a tremendously successful brand, and we are excited about the unique and authentic ways we will connect it with fans of fishing,” said Bruce Akin, CEO, B.A.S.S. “B.A.S.S. has assembled a team of sponsors that are leaders in their industries, both within the sportfishing arena and beyond it. Diet Mountain Dew has a history with the sport, and we are thrilled to have them in the B.A.S.S. family.”
The sponsorship extends full rights of the B.A.S.S. brand in national and local retail marketing, including all Bassmaster events, to Diet Mountain Dew. Additionally, Elite Series standout Gerald Swindle of Warrior, Ala., a former Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year, will join the Diet Mountain Dew roster of athletes.

The sponsorship also includes advertising exposure across B.A.S.S.’s multimedia platforms, including its industry-leading magazines, Bassmaster and B.A.S.S. Times, The Bassmasters TV show on ESPN2, the heavily trafficked Bassmaster.com website and B.A.S.S.’s social media channels.
